What is Relationship Coaching?

Relationship coaching is key to help you set relationship goals, understand your current partnership and thrive inside your marriage. It also helps you attract the right person, grieve a lost loved-one, prepare you for your marriage journey, or help you take your long-term romance to the next level.

All relationships will have conflict, but what separates the ones that succeed from the ones that don’t is how conflict is managed. Yet, Conflict is just one of the issues that relationships suffer from. Meanwhile, we rarely actively practice or try to cultivate the skills that will help our relationships prosper.

How Can a Relationship Coach Help Me?

A relationship coach will work with you collaboratively to resolve your problems and improve your relationship. You can quickly uncover the essence of what you want out of a relationship, guide you around painful issues, and create a safe cocoon as you face your fears and discover your true desires. The problems you could face in a relationship are many, no matter how good you are at solving your own problems, some, no matter how simple they seem, could need coaching or even therapy.

Do I Need Relationship Coaching?

Whether you are single, married, divorced, or planning your wedding, you are either in a relationship, ending one, or eventually going into a relationship. Relationships play a crucial role in our lives and in promoting our wellbeing both physically and mentally.  Interestingly, people in good relationships survive longer after negative health events such as a heart attack and feel less pain when undergoing painful procedures if holding the hand of a partner.

Single People

Whether you are actively dating, or plan to start dating, or just got out of a relationship, you are single! There are many challenges that single people face:

  • Many women keep asking “Why do I keep attracting the wrong man?”. There could be countless reasons why that is happening, while many men, on the other hand, also struggle to attract the right woman.
  • “I haven’t dated for a while, what should I do?”. I know, it can be scary! You might find yourself out of practice to get back to dating after a long break. Meanwhile, depending on how many years you’ve been away from dating, you might find that the dating landscape, especially after COVID-19 has actually changed, so it is normal for you to feel insecure or nervous about it.

Divorced People

  • “Why am I unable to get over a break-up or a divorce?”. I know, it’s hard to move on when you are still deeply attached to your ex. There are many reasons why it is difficult to get over a breakup.
  • “How can I help my child adjust to my divorce?”. Often times, children have to deal with psychological challenges following the divorce of their parents. Divorce increases the risk for mental health problems in children.

Committed or Married People

  • “Am I in an abusive relationship?”. It is easy to know you are in an abusive relationship if it involves physical abuse, also known as domestic violence. However, many people could be unaware that they are suffering from an emotional abuse in their marriage or relationship.
  • There are many problems that people can be dealing with in a relationship or marriage. Identifying and treating those problems will support a happier life. It is easy for couples to be aware that they have an unhealthy marriage. This could be evident when they find themselves hardly speaking to each other, constantly fighting, keeping secrets from each other, lacking intimacy or even in an affair. However, the root causes can be either complex issues like behavior or severe conflict, or surprisingly simple factors related to communication, empathy, or the like.
